Just wondering if anyone has them with the Phat Tower because they look like they wont fit. I know that the KMT6 tower speakers are almost 20in across and the top of my tower is only like 32ish.

Does anyone have this tower with any speakers mounted on it. It has this stupid plate that prevents you from mounting on the tube. I'm going to cut one off to mount speakers or should I just build a box with some 6x9" in it and mount it to the plates?

I would just get whatever speaker housing you want, pop off the stock brackets and just use a bolt through the housing up into your plate, throw on a nut and it should be golden

I agree with Nick. Just drill through the plate and mount the speakers directly.

You still can.

Just unscrew the c clamp and the top will pop off. Drill two holesin the plate that line up with the holes left and re insert the hex bolts with a washer to take up the space. When you remove the top half of that c clamp it will give you nice flat piece that will fit flush to the plate If it were me I would cut a small strip of bicycle tube to put between the plate and the speaker mount A) to prevent marring B) as a shock absorber to keep things tight.

Yeah, like it has been said.... pop off the stock brackets, then add a bolt.... the hole is too big, get washers and some little rubber gaskets like swatguy said and keep it from making noise and marking stuff up.
