Does anybody know if the Mastercraft Zero Flex Tower suffers problems in a salt water environment, such as pitting, corrosion and something like that?

I wouldn't think so.

The tower shouldn't have any problems. The tower is brushed and then coated aluminum. If you want something that will hold up for sure check out the Titan Series II Stainless Steal Tower. That would be your best bet for salt water.
