wow! that looks great!
we hauled the boat out to the lake house on Palestine
normally there is very little boat traffic on holidays
that theory held up this holiday too

however
the hurricane didn't bring rain until after we left, but the wind was nasty
ruined most of the good water....even early in the morning

back in Arlington on Wednesday, I was hoping to try the back roll again.
wind again! the 25 mph variety!

hopefully this Sunday and Wednesday will be good for some nice riding

Cliff - Where is your house there? We spent a week at Palestine at a house in Emerald Bay a couple of weeks ago.

we are south of Emerald bay
but we occasionally ride in the area around the marina just north of Emerald bay

mostly, if the conditions are good, we stay out by the dam

the house is in the Eastdale estates

The only time we really had madness on the lake was on Sunday between 11-4. Other than that we had pretty decent water most of the weekend.

We had really nice conditions in the midwest. My lake is really busy in the afternoon, but we had great water till 10 every morning.

Shawn: Is that your private lake? Is that the Mobil or Alcoa plant in the background? I will be at Alcoa Tuesday morning.

Yeah, it's our lake. I don't really know what plant that is in the background, I never really noticed it. If it's Mobil, it's pretty far away. We're on the north side of I-80, west of Minooka. To bad about Tuesday morning, I will be in LA, otherwise, I'd offer you a pull Tuesday afternoon.

Your fron Wayne? That's near Carol Stream, Elgin, etc right?

We were going to go out on Saturday, but Hurricane Gustav changed them plans.

We went up to Shasta. It was windy all weekend. The weather report said gusts to 40mph at times during the weekend. That proved true when our houseboat pulled up the stakes that secure it to shore. The wind didn't let up the entire weekend. The good part was that it was a north wind. We had the wind at our back the entire drive home. We made around 15.5mpg towing the boat on the way home to Sacramento in an expedition that only gets 19mpg at best without the boat. When your mpg is the only highlight it wasn't a great weekend.

We didn't see many boats out for being a holiday weekend. It probably had something to do with the constant whitecaps all weekend.

Yes, Wayne is in that area. I do some riding on the Fox, but mostly on Lake James in Indiana. I'm heading there in 15 minutes.

I will keep a lookout for your lake. Do you still have lots for sale?
