like ill land and ill slip backwards or to the side depending on which way the board slides out from under me? Ive done pop shuvits before but i seldom land em so im wondering if i do something wrong.

ok that's what I thought you meant. The best thing you can do is get a video of you doing it so you can see what you're doing wrong. I've always had a problem landing straight on the board and after watching a video of me doing it I realized I was trying to put my feet down to soon. It really helps a lot

It really helps to come off of your edge before you throw it. What your probably doing is edgeing out into the flats, and focusing so much on the pop and spin, your forgetting to keep your shoulder's square over the board.

Also stay low when you throw it. It keeps you more well balanced.
