For my business, I have 30 locations and need this setup for every location.

I need to buy a camera and printer combo. I thought that a Kodak Easyshare ($100) and a printer like the HP Photosmart A626 ($129) would do the job that I need.

I need a camera that can take a picture and print directly to a printer using a USB cable (without a computer). I do not want to have to take a card out of the camera each time to print from the printer.

It will be used in a doctor type office where you have to keep a picture on file of each person that walks in the door. The picture can be printed on regular white paper, but it needs to be about the size of a polaroid picture. We are using polaroid cameras still!!!

I tried to "test" it in one location but the manager ended up with a different printer and is telling me that she has to take out the memory card in order to print a picture to the dimensions she needs. If she tries to print it using the USB, it has a "set" size that it prints and she cant change it. Printing it directly from the printer allows you to change those settings.

Please let me know if a Kodak Easyshare camera and a kodak photosmart printer can accomplish what I need. If not, can you give me another starting point?

Thanks for the help.

So what about swinging me one of those now redundant and crap polaroid cameras when you get around to upgrading?

Most of the Canon P&S and DSLRs have a direct print button on them. I've never used the feature but it sounds like it would do what you're looking for.

well, i need to upgrade first. If you can afford the polaroid film, you can afford a camera The cost of the film kills me!

I will go stop by best buy and see some first hand.
