A few days ago I landed really tail heavy, so hard that I snapped my board. My femur was sore right of above my knee. After a few minutes the pain went away. Last night I woke up in excruciating pain. It was my femur that was bothering me. I got out of bed and could barely walk, so I took some motrin and finally fell asleep. This morning I woke up and nothing! I have no clue why it was so painful last night and this morning it feels 110% Anyway I was just wondering if anyone had an explanation for this.

Get it checked out (xray) you DON'T want to be riding with an injured bone....trust me on that.

If I had to guess, I'd say you have a bone contusion (essentially a deep bruise). I had one of these on my knee...it took forever to be pain free. But as Tim said, get it checked out (assuming you have insurance). It would be shame to ride again, really mess something up, and then be told, "If you had just had an X-ray, we would have seen this problem and saved you a lot of trouble."

that is funny, but if you have even cracked your femur and the next time you go out you finish off the break, you could bleed to death. thats no joking at all.

If the dude cracked his femur he wouldn't be feeling "110%" the next morning. Blieve me, I broke mine right above the knee and there was no doubt something was seriously wrong.

DUDE YOUR GONNA DIE!!!! Prob not but you should have xrays done, it is possible that you have a bone spur or a compression fracture. I had a compression fracture on an arm and it would be ok until I moved just a certain way. This may be whats happening to you.

I injured my tibia in a similar fashion, didn't ride all week because it would be sore at times. I decided to ride the following sunday, and came away with a pretty serious double compound fracture.....

Nothing to do with yeast. haha

One of the biggest concerns of a leg fracture is development of a Pulmonary Embolism.

PEs are deadly if not diagnosed in a timely fashion. Err on the side of caution and have your leg checked out.
