I'm trying to replace the prop on my vlx. For some reason I can't get it on all the way flush on the shaft. It like about a quarter inch being flush. Its not on backwards either. Can it have anything to do with the torque pin not being in the right position. Any help would be appreciated.

you could have the key in too far...
did you tighten the bolt? and it did not "flush up"?

I tried to tighten the bolt, but it didn't move it.

The key insterts into a groove in the shaft, make sure it's in the grove properly. You will see the indentation on the shaft, the key should fit totally into the indentation. Also make sure the key hole is lined up with the key. If all this is right you should have no problem.

Take the prop back off, and slide it up the shaft with NO key, mark how far up the hub of the prop goes on the shaft, then do it with the key and if it doesen't go all the way back to the mark, grind/sand key height until it does.
