Steve, I will be 5 months out this may 20th (had the allograph which is a faster recovery).
I have ridden 4 times thus far without so much as attempting to go w2w. IMHO just roam it up for a while and really go back to basics. I have noticed my hamstring area being quite sore as well.
Looking forward this summer, I dont intend on getting back to prior form until August (which would be 8 months out). Until then I am just planning on going back to basics and filling the holes in my riding, switch, bs spins etc.
IMHO the roam is a great board for situations like yours. It allows you to really have a lot of fun on the water without going w2w a bunch. Try roaming around for a while and just have fun enjoying the pull.
