I currently own a Hyperlite 114 Gate wakeskate. I can ride it and switch but that is all. I think it is a little too small and agressive for me, (I'm no good). What would be a good beginner/intermediate skate to develop on. Also, it could be a couple of years old if I could get a closeout price on it. I am 52 years old, 5'10" and weigh 185. I am an intermediate wakeboarder. Thanks in advance.

probablly a flat skate or a less agressive skate like a LF 43" wide impulse or control thats what i ride

start with a flat deck all new skaters should do this in my oppinion, then find a good size for you(bigger the easier to land and shuv) to (the smaller which is for ones with more skateboard expierienced that already have some board contol) for you i would say by hieght and wieght a 42 no smaller than a 41" and just have fun man

The gate is a pretty weird design. they no longer make it as well. I'd like to reccomend the Integrity Nick Taylor 41" its what I ride and love. I started out on a gate, but after 5-6 sets I bought a Integrity and havent wanted ride anything else. The same Integrity I bought two years ago is still riding strong and i've slid tons of rails and beat it to death. They cost more but they last longer, so in the long run its the best skate to get money wise.
