i was wondering if anybody had some sliders that they have constructed themsleves and what kind of design they are.
POST PICS!!

we are building one this weekend that is 16' long 4 feet wide and has something like 3 different rails. one about a foot up in the center and 2 on either side which one might be a rainbow and the other just a regular straight pipe. the remaining deck will be covered with PVC sheeting. will post pics if i can ever figure out how.

Hey, I'm thinking of building a slider and putting it out in front of my cottage.. I guess what I'm wondering is would I be responsible If some idiots decide they want to come along and try it while I'm away and end up hurting themselves?
Anybody have any info on this?

Brian,
you most definately are responsible for your slider, best bet, what we do is to drive the posts into the ground and make the flat bar on top removable to take home with you. Some sliders, like rainbows, this wont work. if it floats, drag it out of the path of traffic and tape some signs and orange cones to it when not in use, and your chances of being sued will be slim. even if a boat hits it at night by accident, you (sadly) will be responsible. good luck

yeah we actually pull it up onto the beach when we are not using it...and we put bright things on it, but its right in front of my house so nobody will use it except us.

we just finished buliding a pipe-kicker that floats out on the water. The end of the kicker is about 4 1/2 feet above the water and the kicker is a bout 10 feet long. I know this sounds like no big deal but since my home lake (shasta) dosen't let people build perminate sliders we have to be able to move it. well, we found out a completely diffrent design to keep it light but keep it afloat at the same time. with the way we built it it only takes 3 people to carry it and we just lay it across the back of the boat, dump it in the water when we are ready to ride, then take it out and back on the boat when we are finished. Cake.
