I'm 5'10" and 135 lbs, and coming from a 132cm board. I'm looking at the new Marius, and want to know if the 140 would be too big??... I don't really want to buy a board almost the same size as what I'm riding now, but don't want the board to be too much to handle.
Thanks

The 134cm Marius would feel a good bit larger then your current 132......Jumping up to the 140cm Marius would be like going from a Ford Festiva to a Ford Excursion.... I have ridden the 140 but I am also about 50lbs. heavier then you are.... I would bet you are a better rider.....but I like riding a smaller board... I was riding a 141 Absolute and now I have switched to the 133 FISH and now looking for a 129 to try out!!!! Ride them both and see what you think... but I would venture to say the 134 is what you are looking for... Good luck!

Demo it and see. If you are still growing, it could be the perfect board for you. I'm riding an Absolute 141 and I'm 5'7 and 160 lbs.

Sweet boat UpN. I was just talking board size to a guy your exact size in this thread: http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/377773.html?1160583895

What 132 were you riding? If that board felt good to you then I agree with Brandon...get the 134. The Marius is a touch wider at the tips than most boards and will float you better anyway...so going to the 140 from your current stick will probably feel like...I wouldn't say going from a Festiva to an Excursion, but more like going from a slammed Ford Ranger with a chrome muffler package to a jacked up F-250 Super Crew....all black.

Thanks guys - Im coming from a 132 parks... thought I liked the board until I rode a continuous rocker 140 (state) and loved how forgiving and easier to progress on it was; this is after learning the basics (hs, ts w2w 180's) with the Parks. I'm hoping I'll like the Marius with the more forgiving rocker, but still have a bit of the buck I'm used to with the Parks.

Yeah the Marius is wider throughout its profile so the 134 has more float than similar length boards. i know a couple guys that are pushing 2 bills and prefer the 134. I regularly ride an Absolute 135 but I also have a 140 Marius, its too big but fun to ride every now and then. Its a unique ride, really smooth, great landings and a ton of pop for a continuous rocker. Also, Platinums pop harder.
