first off, no, i didn't make it over to owc to check out the ronix stuff...i was just waaaay too busy. dpc put my butt to work all weekend! i got these shots on sunday.

anyway, it looks like the theme this year for boards is the matte (non-glossy) black look. (please, no argument as to who stole the idea from whom) anyway, here are some pics.

No wonder they only show their butts, I always wanted to know what their faces looked like, but I guess thats why they do rear shots.

I think I liked the Murray graphic best on a wakeboard.
And the Byerly stuff looks nice too.

Thanks, Joe.

I liked the majority of the graphics from all of the companies, it looks like everybody stepped it up. The Platinum and regular Marius are probably my favorite. Thanks for the pics.

Damn Obriens and CWBs line up look sweet. Why do LF bindings look like they belong on a Yeti? They look fat and wide.

wow! My coffee is famous :P

Check that Monster shot with Sheryl in it.

I was standing right to the left of that shot, wish you'd introduced yourself Joe.
Small side track..
I literally just got in from the 07 Monster calender shoot (in which Sheryl features heavily).. I'm still speechless. There's some truly beautiful, talented and professional women appearing and we even got some of them out on the board in the afternoon! They all truly rocked.. keep em peeled for that one (Due Late November I believe).

I just looked for the biggest backpack and knew it had to have been Joe.

Anyway, great pics. All the stuff looked really good this year. I'm excited for the Ronix stuff and the LF Witness looks like a pretty cool shape.

Any pics of the boats, Joe?

I like the Gonzales Line-up from Gator. Also the white closed toe gator boots look good. Liner looks confortable in those. Can't wait to get to Florida in February to check it all out. Byerly's new board is pretty sick looking. I said I wasn't going to buy a new board this year...I may have to change my mind.

thanks for all the shots joe. I have to say, that byerly board, is by far the coolest looking board I have ever seen. I have never been one to buy a board based on looks, but that one is one I plan on demoing because of the looks.

Sure buddy, wanna start a shop up here? I don't think I could handle the 909 unless I went through a full "bandana/sideways cap/all black with white belt wearing" makeover. Please refer the toughest tattoo artist you've met as well.

Why do they even make Byerly wakeboards???

1st they are ugly and 2nd nobody will buy them since he is a wake skater.

Obrien Natural is kinda interesting with the gold look... never seen that done before... one way i look at it it looks pretty appealing, but then at the same time it looks like that gold plastic stuff that i'll be seeing shortly on the streets in hands of children as they trick or treat adorned with GOLD plastic pirate swords and stuff... if you know what i mean
Old    Adam Curtis (acurtis_ttu)      Join Date: May 2004       09-27-2006, 12:38 PM Reply
Craig, not 100% sure but I think there is an Austin, TX company that makes those lights. I'm pretty sure Tim lives in the area...they might be those?
Old    Tim White (wetsounds1)      Join Date: Jan 2006       09-27-2006, 1:15 PM Reply
The lights are from DBOT5 www.dbot5.com as well as the wake racks with the surf rack strap on. Plus I have the mirror too. Very cool stuff. I like that you can mount the lights on the side and they have a spline type deal that let's you mount them at any angle. They are all quick disconnect too. The lights are all the same but change colors depending on the angles.

but I guess we'll see how many Byerly's we actually see in '07.

I mean the guy doesn't even wake board!!

jordan doesn't even play basketball anymore, yet, his shoes are some of the best selling shoes.

"nobody will buy them since he is a wake skater."
Why does it matter? Byerly has been riding a board long enough to know what works and what doesn't. The fact that he doesn't wakeboard often anymore won't factor into whether or not someone buys the board.
Old    Big Ed (big_ed_x2)      Join Date: Jul 2004       09-28-2006, 8:02 AM Reply
True but I guess we will see.....

Not that it matter to much but when Jordan played sports he stuck to b-ball,if he never returned and continued to play baseball....I think it would be different.
Old    el doubleyou (lukewtwt)      Join Date: Apr 2003       09-28-2006, 8:09 AM Reply
They could have re-released the 02-03 Byerly shape for 07 and it would have been a big hit, so seeing what they actually did should make it an even bigger one. This shape has all the features of the Byerly boards of old (which were great sellers) with some changes that just make it more user-friendly. Same Byerly, more consistent pop, softer landings. What's not to like?
Old    Jeremy Byrom (wakerider111)      Join Date: Jul 2006       09-29-2006, 8:21 AM Reply
As far as things look his bindings have remained the least unchanged compared to all the other pro bindings... i'm not quite sure what to think of that. good, bad, different. They look good as always though. I have only tried one pair once, but they were one size too large and not the best way to try them.
Old    Trace (trace)      Join Date: Feb 2002       09-29-2006, 1:06 PM Reply
Big Ed, JFC, how long have you been into this scene? Byerly used to do a little riding strapped in too.

Great pics guys, thanks for posting.
