I'd like to learn some new tricks that aren't quite as hard as 360's or flips. Probably my best trick right now that i can land consisently is a method grab 180. I like to do somin new everytime, but now i'm running out of things to try short of 360 and tantrums. R there any tricks that are at a level right b4 360's and flips? Maybe a raley?

patrick i dont recommend a raley. the trick relies heavily on edging technique that im not sure at your skill level(based on the tricks you mentioned youre doing) youre capable of executing with a fair amount of control. how are your grabs? do you do several grab variations of your 180? can you clear the wake ts? how about ts 180s grabbed? for me i like to see riders with a huge bag of grabs and pokes hs and ts as opposed to a rider with a backroll, tantrum, and raley but cant clear the wake ts without spinning a 180. also work on switch riding and try clearing the wake switch. there is probably a reason youre a little hesitant to try and invert or a three, work on nailing the fundamentals and then youll be drooling to try those tricks. good luck

Went ridin today and it was fun. Learned a new grab, pulled a stylish method grab, and tried doubling grabbing for the first time. I also worked on my 3. I can land it, but i never have the rope. Whats the grab called where u learn back while jumpin so that ur board is perpendicular w/ the water and u grap the nose w/ ur leadin hand? Rocket Air? Thanks 4 the advice. Each time i go i hope to learn a new grab.

Patrick,
I totally agree with alan plotz. In addition to that, really work on your edging technique and your pop by practising hs and ts short approach w2w jumps and later 180s. If you can easily clear both wakes on your heelside from only 4 to 6 feet away from the wake with some good height and consistantly landing on your heelside edge, it is time to think about trying a heelside back roll
