I know how to remove it, but I'm wondering what to do witht he hole in the floor that it's going to leave. Has anyone come up with anything creative for this?

You might have a table mount installed in it's place. You could have a table if you wanted to but mainly, just the mount to cover the hole.

For mine, I made a plywood plug and covered it with carpet that I cut from a hidden area in the boat. Mine in my 94 Sanger was not coming out for nothing. I threw every trick in the book at it. Finaly had to cut the steel brackets that run to the stringers, (you can't unbolt them, they go in before the floor)and took it to work and used the 10 ton press to get the pylon out, then weld the bracket back in. Pain in the a$$ but I was tired of knocking into that thing.
