If so, does anyone have a pic?

Walt, post a pic of the back of your mirror and I can tell you. If you have a threaded stud that sticks through a square piece of plastic with a spinner nut to hold it to the bracket, it will work.

Sparky,

It's the same one Buzz has but I want the ball mount like you have on Your boat.

Yeah, unfortunetly, that one won't work unless you get the mount with the round bar. Or change mirrors and get the one like mine.

Thanks Sparky.

Well now I've got a Proflight mirror arm and mirror that won't fit a proflight tower. WTF is up with that ?

I was hoping that I just had to buy a new skylone arm but I guess I have to re-buy the whole set up.

Bummer. Yeah I bought my CIPA mirror at Marine Max on Santa Rosa Ave. It was actually the one that I bought for the 94 Sanger that mounts on the windshield frame, but if you take off the hardware for the window mount, you are left with what will mount on the Skylon ball socket arm. It's a very clean and solid set-up.

Hey Walt... I have the Skylon mirror arm on our Proflight tower. Works great. Same settup as your mirror (it looks like) It shifts every now and then (Meaning the mirror - twists up and down with hard rollers) but for the most part its extreamly sturdy and im impressed.

Jason,

I know that the Skylone will fit but it pisses Me off that a proflight arm won't fit right on a Proflight tower.

What about it won't fit. I know, dumb question but I'm curious.

ahhh gotcha. Yeah thats pretty darn ridiculous.

There's not enough articulation to get the right angle.

Ah hah.... Wow, so with all the adjustibility of the mirror and arm you can't get a good angle? That seems odd. Is the arm not long enough?

There's really not as much adjustability as you might think. If it had the ball mount it might work ?

Hijack....

Hey Sparky, did you upgrade your prop yet? If so, what did you end up going with?

Sparky,

I wish I could tell You what prop My boat has because it works great. It was on it when I bought it (four blade) and it holds speed great with 2000 pounds and six people in the boat. It seems to come out of the hole great too.

Highjack on: Can I ask a favor from one of you with the arm? I was wondering if someone wouldn't mind posting the dimensions of the arm for me, I stole a pic from above and wanted to know the sizes of it where I have it marked up in green, length of arm and rod, thickness of arm and rod. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Walt, most props have the specs stamped on the flange right behind the nut.

Sparky,

I'll try to remember to look.
