There is an interesting thread on my home site www.dcwake.com about tying a 5 foot length of handle line to a half full one gallon milk cartoon. Then swinging it around your body with a palms up pass. When it gets going with a decent pull, then turn your body into the appropraite position. Should help you get muscle memory going . . .

pull hard WITH BOTH HANDS to your back hip. this gets slack on the rope so it doesnt pull you off axis. something i found helped a ton. went from passing one in twenty to passing every time.

First, work on some slow speed surface 360's--the resistence from going slow will help you to build the fundamentals of the handle pass without the hard falls. Then do some grabbed 180's until you are very comfortable with them. Finally, do a nice grabbed 180, but instead of grabbing the board, pass the handle. Good luck!

I thought that coming into the wake a little flat was supposed to generate slack? I'm having the same issue and getting pulled off axis but it sounds like I need to pulling once I'm at the high point of the jump? or both?

heres how to do the 360. Come into the wake nice and easy, progressive edge. About when you get to the trough let off the edge, go flat with the board so you get a lot of pop straight up when you jump the wake. This jump should be have a lot of pop and you don't need much speed. Pop off the wake, and slowly bring the handle, with both hands, to your back hip. This is the same motion you would do for a big lofty 180. Next, what I do is spot the horizon behind me. I just look directly backwards and try to find the horizon, this keeps me on axis easily. When you do this it makes the handle pass very easy. Pop, pull, pass, as has been said before. These steps should be done one after the other, you aren't trying to do everything at once with this trick. If you get it nice and lofty the landing should be easy as pie.

I dont know if its right- but it works for me-Take a nice easy cut 10-15 ft in staying in a squatted position-at the trough pull the handle in only with your arms do not lean back -stay frozen-ride up the wake & stand tall and wait --then spin-this will give you slack everytime. Now all you have to concentrate on waiting to spin-the handle should be there . I now can spin easily always getting the handle- sometimes I am leaning too far back when I land and cant hold on but if I think about holding on strong when landing I get it- good luck
