I've never been there and I will be camping there soon. Any info on the lake/water would be appreciated.

Be very very careful of hidden obstacles. The lake levels last year were high and a bunch of (normally) islands were only about 12 inches under water. The water was full of algae and you couldn't see anything. 3 boats nailed different underwater obstacles the day I was there. (2 with very serious damage) The rangers that patrol the lake refuse to do anything about it claiming that it's your responsibility to "figure" out where the obstacles are.

Ask the locals when you get there. Also, beware of fast changing conditions. The afternoon winds pick up there and make it pretty dangerous for small boats. I hate to make it sound like a bad place. The riding is decent super early in the morning, but I will never go back.

I share Luke's sentiment. We spent three days there and were up at dawn every morning. We got some decent water the first day by the dam. The next two days there were whitecaps at 5:30 am and they lasted all day. We made the mistake of taking a pleasure cruise and had to idle back, there were 3 ft swells coming over the bow. It was bad.

There is a little cove (Paradise Cove??)on the south side where we found a bit of good water as we were leaving, we actually put back in to ride for a while.

I won't go back either. The lake is a wind tunnel and you may or may not get decent riding and NEVER go across the lake, stick to the shore. It's a shame, big lake and very pretty, the wind thing just kills it.
