we actually found that it was very easy to get up on the board if you were already comfortable on a wakeboard. We do deepwater starts and the most difficult part is getting your feet in the right place on the board and holding it in place before you get up. We would get the board under water a bit and tell the driver to bump the boat into gear so it would put tension on the rope. Once we had tension on the rope it would hold to board up against our feet with no problem, then we said go and we popped right up and that was it. We all got up on our first try. We also tried floating the board flat on the surface of the water with out feet resting on it and popping it up when the boat started to go, but we couldn't get it. That may work better with your board. I have a Trick Boardz mojo btw.
Good luck and let us know how you like it.

Shoot an email to info@inlandsurfer.com and ask for an instructional DVD. Oh, and it's FREE.

Good luck with your wake surfing!

Oh, so you get up just like a wakeskate deep water start. I wasn't sure since the rope is so short.. Thanks for the tips, I will get that DVD!
