Guaranteed you are looking over your back shoulder! You are rolling out the backinsted of over the top. Really try to keep your head looking either at the boat or the shore, not backwards!

if you are looking over your back shoulder then you're accicentally landing blind and wouldn't really be able to spot the landing like you said you could. i had this problem forever because i would reach toward the handle with my back hand during the rotation pulling me into a frontside rotation.

either way you need to focus on looking straight back with your head and keeping your back hand at your side until you land. the wake will flip you straight around. good luck
