Ok, I'm comfortable at w2w heelside, heelside into the flats, and can do heelside w2w 180s, but I still can't seem to figure out w2w toeside. Everytime I try it I come up short and end up leaning too far foward or off balance. Do I need to bend my legs and stand tall at the top of the wake like in a heelside jump? Any tips or things I should know?

Make sure you start your cut smoothly, and increase your edge all the way in. Alot of people start the cut really quickly, and come off edge on the way in, hitting the wake with a flat board and going very slowly.

I can tell you that what helped me was to have my legs bent and I was coming into the wake and then ollie as you get to the top of the wake. For balance purposes and for proper form, you should keep both hands on the handle and the handle to your front hip, however, it helped me to drop my back hand to straighten out until I could always clear the wake and was on axis like I wanted to be.

Hey Marcus,

That's a common problem - as others suggest, get the handle to your hip - if its out in front, you'll get pulled onto your face most every time. It may also help to get your front hip out there a bit - keep your eyes on the horizon (not down)...feels weird doesn't it? It might help to let go with your back hand once you're airborne as suggested above.

Oh yeah, you may want to shorten the rope a bit to make it easier till you've nailed it - remember how it was when you couldn't do heelside? Same thing, just practice...
