I will be buying my first board, I got a free one when I bought my boat...off brand board. And I have ridden my friends Jobe 2020. I can do progressive edge on both toe and heel side and I can do 180's inside out and outside in, can't do wake to wake yet...I don't think my boats wake is good enough to get a good enough pop.

Question is would the Clutch be too hard to ride for me?? Should I shoot for something more along the lines of the O'Brien Custom?? I like the looks of the Clutch.

Kirk,

The Clutch is definitely not too advanced and will be a much better long-term board for you than the Custom. With the center fin installed - the board has plenty of grip for any rider. It rides real clean (as you would expect from a Cobe designed board) - and when you get better you can take out the center fin for more freedom.
