Just a heads up for yall who have Transits. OK so i have had them for less than a year (but they were demo boots) i still have them covered though. I was on the lake yesterday 6/15/05 and I felt a pain in my heel that I had noticed before but it was alot stronger. so I stopped and saw that my heel was bleeding (not bad but it was uncomfortable). I took the boots off the board and saw that on the heel the black pad had come un-glued. I don’t know how long it was like this but, I also saw that there were some screws going up into the boot (bad design LF!) and that was my problem. I could not feel the screw when I presses on the heel or when I stood on them but when I came down from some jumps it was there… so check out your transits every now and then!

those 4 screws that go into the binding and hold the baseplate to it have to be tightened every so often. I noticed a few days ago that my bindings were shifting on the deck and stopped to check it out. when I took the binding off 3 outta 4 screws came falling out.

The baseplate screws don't go into plastic...they go into a helicoil type fitting which is molded into the boot. They come with something on them already. Gotta check them every so often. I noticed that the cam locks holding the plate to my board were loose. I thought that was odd.

actually bindings have been that way for a while with screws going up....not just LF but Hyperlite too!!! I owned a pair of red moon boots back in the day and a screw went through the bottom and into my heel....it didn't feel like i was getting stabbed exactly but sure enough i had a gaping hole in my foot.
