i've got a rockford fosgate p3002 amp pushing a set of infinity tower speakers. everything sounds great until i turn the volume over 22. after 22 the speakers start cutting in & out. it has to be a problem with the amp because it did the same thing to my last speakers. i need the volume louder so my riders can hear it. any help will be greatly appreciated! thanks!

Chuck, your amp is likely overheating and shutting off. they have a self protective mechanism to shut off before doing any damage. I don't know your amp at all, but you may need to upgrade it...

I don't know your set-up, but you may want to consider adding additional amps. On my first boat, we had a 5 channel powering 4 tower (extended pylon actually) speakers and a sub, with the deck driving the speakers in the boat. I had the same issue, the amp would start shutting down within 30 minutes of getting on the water.

On the current boat, we've got one amp for the six tower speakers (800 watts), one for the interior speakers (600 watts), and one for the sub (600 watts). I'm still jonesing for more sometimes!!!
