Nice pics. I'm not a fan of a yellow boat, but that yellow and black BU looks sweet.

I can't belive people are buying that Dollar bill green color. I guess it matches that 5k$ CFT tower.

Sharp boats. Anybody know what speakers those are on the Illusion in the last pic?
Old    zboomer            01-26-2005, 1:50 PM Reply
I was wondering the same thing. Never seen those before, look like miniature rocket launchers, heh.

i think they are tube acoustics.. not 100% though.

Good eye on the Tubes. Good to see more speaker options available for the Illusion. The solid color hulls seem to be getting real popular, too.

The second one is a orange & black Harley Davidson edition. They have an orange/black Ford Lighting HD to pull it! BAD! The speakers are tube accoustics and sound great 100 ft away.

Using a Lighting to tow a 3600+ lb boat? Can the lighting do that?
Old     (tidalwake0504)      Join Date: Oct 2004       01-27-2005, 8:27 AM Reply
its not a lightning its a harley davidson edition
Old    byerly137pro            01-27-2005, 10:05 AM Reply
And a lightning can easily tow 3600+lb boat, its a high performance truck with over 400hp.

Its a high performance truck built for speed, not for towing.

A co-worker of mine has one, he said he could easily tow it, but not at 100mph.

The wheels on that HD Malibu would match the HD F150 a lot better.

Hope they have someone good with trailers pulling that orange boat. Not much to the sidewalls on those tires.
Old     (west)      Join Date: Apr 2002       01-28-2005, 4:19 PM Reply
that orange and black one with the rims on the trailor is f'in sick!!!!!! I bet we start seeing more of the aftermarket rims on the trailor a lot more. Bet your azz I'll have 'em when I can afford one!!

Guess I'm too old, but I think those wheels look like crap on the orange one. I don't want any rice-car, fast-n-furious wannabe rims on my trailer, beating up my boat on every little pebble on the road.

The wheels on the red one above look nice tho.

You'd be suprised, they're really not that rough riding. But, I do each their own. I just think the red is just too much red (with the red trailor).

are those speakers incorporated into the first tower? What kind are they and how much is the option/tower?
Old     (wake_pop)      Join Date: Jul 2004       01-28-2005, 8:31 PM Reply
Yep, They're in the tower. The one I saw at the boat show had 4 Sony 6 x 9's. The tower is carbon fiber- called the Blade and it's about a $5K upgrade.
Old     (tyler97217)      Join Date: Aug 2004       01-28-2005, 10:17 PM Reply
It really is not a 5K upgrade once you figure everything that comes on the tower. Once you factor in 4 tower speakers and lights it is really just 1-2k more. I mean that is still a lot, but when you compare apples to apples it is not 5K upgrade. I was not that impressed. They are still pretty rough. I like the Illusion with the accessories... obviously just my opinion.

I was told to upgrade to the blade on your boat it was only 2k, im not sure if that was lights.
here are some pics from tonight

Here is mine, 2 days old. Still waiting for the bimini, mirror mount, racks, and Defcon 4's. Color turned out great for me!

Often imitated never duplicated..
