We dont do any cold weather riding down here in Alabama. The lake we use doesnt have water access year round so we have to wait for the water to rise. So our riding starts at the end of March. So if you didnt already have a Shorty wetsuit would you get one or would a Neoprene top work well enough?

what's the water temp/air temp like that time of year.

Just rock the neoprene top and get some speedo shorts to put under your board shorst and you should be alright. That's what I do on those inbetween days.

It is hard to tell what the temps will be like. Usually around mid 70's. Not sure on the h2o temp. But regardless we are riding every day during spring break. I think I would like the Neo top just b/c I could take it off real quick if I wanted.

I prefer the neo top, I hate changing in and out of a wetsuit. If it's to warm for the drysuit I use the top, even if it's a bit chilly
