both are great board but i would have to say the absolute has the edge over the substance.

i ride the substance and love it great pop smooth landings the board is awesome

This is a tough one for me. I have ridden the Absolute for 3 seasons now and I love that board. Last weekend I rode the 138 Substance just to try something different and it was sweet! It felt light and snappy just like the absolute. The molded fins on the Substance are a tad longer. I think this helped the board track a little better on big landings. It definitely rode tighter than the Absolute. But the tighter feel could have been because I was on a 138 instead the 141 Absolute I normally ride - maybe. Even on the smaller board, the speed felt comparible. I'm going to ride the Substance for a while I think.
