This is my first time here. I am looking for information on a cable park, how much land is required. We have a large amount of water available on our land, surrounded on all sides by Forest Service, have water rights, all utilities, a 2000+ square foot home which could be converted to a lodge easily, pool, spring fed pond, outbuildings, and the land is a natural waterway. Excavation wouldn't be cost prohibitive, I hope, but does anyone know if you need 3-phase electrical? It's not available here. Also, does anyone have manufacturer names for the cable equipment, HP of motor/motors. I was told today by the county that due to our zoning here, that we could put in a resort. Originally thought of a water park, as the one in Redding is always packed, and we are 100 miles from Redding, but have the same HOT weather, but not as cold in the winter. If there are any interested surfers out there, we've got some land that we'd be willing to let be developed, under a reasonable lease agreement, for a percentage of the profits. We don't know what the ideal size is, but I'm thinking this may be too small. The county did say "with a resort designation, you can pretty much have anything a resort would have, like cabins, store, lake, lodge, RV park, etc. I neglected to ask about a water park as I wanted to read more. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Trinity County depends heavily on it's tourism, so it might be feasible. I'm not a surfer, just did a lot of waterskiing at the lake, and think something like this would be great for our local economy, even if it wouldn't work here, due to size requirements. Particulars would be appreciated!
