I've been having a few problems with my 7.4 Volvo this spring/winter and have determined it to be the manifolds and risers. Ever since then I have been on the hunt for parts and this stuff is expensive. Best deal I have found is here:
http://www.ebasicpower.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=ebasicpower&Pr oduct_Code=BPIBBVOL
I hoping someone on the board can get parts wholesale or with a bigger discount. Even iBoats and most parts stores that I have called are around $1250 - $1400. If anyone can help me out let me know.
Thanks,
Aaron

Aaron, what problems have you been having and why do the manifolds and risers have to be replaced? I can look for you, but I'm sure both the parts and the shipping are expensive.

I would not purchase parts until it has been dissembled and the parts needed are confirmed. Manifolds can often be repaired.

What is the problem you are experiencing? Are the risers getting too hot to touch?

^^^^ second that dismantle them before pulling the trigger on the parts, if theyre getting hot to the touch it could be something as simple as the wrong gasket on the risers, if you do turn out to need new ones we have tons of used volvo parts maybe i can find what you need if ya wanna shoot me a message with some contact info

The riser on the Starboard side has been pulled and confirmed that it's bad. I have read that if you replace the riser you should also replace the manifold. Maybe I have been misinformed. Basically the riser is leaking. 10 years in saltwater has finally taken it's toll.
If anybody else has any info please chime in...
Trey - PM will be sent

I don't have the serial number for the engine (I have the drive) but it' s a 7.4 Volvo GI and the part numbers are:

Manifold: 3861459
Riser: 3863061
Riser Gasket: 3863191
Manifold Gasket: 3852472

I need two of each... They need to be shipped to 32566
