Just wondering what kind of first-aid kit you guys keep in your boats. We are usually miles from any hospital when we ride and just wanted some ideas of thing you have needed or wished you had for injuries while on the water. Last year my husband blew out his ankle on the first run of the day and we didn't have anything to cut the binding with and it took forever to remove it ( and alot of pain ).
-Ace badages -Cpr Mask -Band Aids -Asprin -Scisors -buck knife on a piece of rope (thats mostly for the prop but it could be pushed into first aid service) -Duct Tape -Guase -Rubbing Alcohol -Twezzers -super glue -Neddle and thread -pliers Regardless of what you have it is never enoughf.
JRod, just one Vicodin I keep a COOLER FULL OF BEER AND A BOTTLE OF VICODIN. a yeah and a band-aid just in case someone cuts there finger opening a beer.
My Dad is a dentist and was at a 3 event comp once and put a slalom ski through his lip. He rushed to his office, stitched himself up and rushed back to place in the competition. After that he started carrying a "stitch" kit in the boat. A few years ago I was cleaning out the bow compartment in his 88 Ski Nautique and found the kit. The tools and needles were rusted and the pain killer bottle was dry but it was still cool to find it and reminisce with my pops.
I bought a first aid kit for the boat but have only used band-aids from it.
I can 1 up the nurses. Our crew has two doctors, a mechanic, a factory rat, and IT guy and me retail sales. Guess I don't bring much to the table. I can atest to the never have enough

We've got some Ibuprofen, few bandaids, some saline solution for those contact (or however you spell that) people, and an extra neoprene kneebrace. Thats about it. We have 911 for anything requiring more than that
