Holy cow I feel like succh an ass. Matt(12) took huge toeside fall while @ Shasta 2 weeks ago. Any way he's been compalining about it here & there. But he's still been skateboarding and wakeboarding then complaining it hurts. I just told him to quit whining and ride. There was no swelling, no black and blue or anything. Now today Dr orders xrays and sure enough.

Heck he even rode yesterday behind Seans Calabria then switched to the dark side to learn the Air Chair.

Guess moral of story is pay closer attention to the kids when they say "it hurts dad"

i broke my leg a couple weeks ago at powell. it hurt so i didn't ride, but i didn't think it was broken. i did a 2 1/2 mile hike to rainbow bridge and walked all around on it the rest of the week thinking it was no big deal. then i went to the doctor when i got back, and sure enough, my fibula was cracked in two pieces. no swelling or bruising at all either.

I broke my colar bone as a youth. Talk about tough love, my parents did not take me to the hospital till I passed out many hours later.

I have broken my share of bones in both feet. It hurt's but I have still been mobile.

Just think, at age 12 getting in on the hydrofoil he'll be a star in no time. The air you can get on an Airchair/Skyski is so much fun. Forget about that sideways standing stuff, just let sit and fly!
