my glove box doesn't have any way to stay open and if i let go it slams shut. anybody have this problem or done anything about it? just wondering if there's like a little mini-actuator or something i could install. currently, i use a bungee, but that's pretty ghetto.

I put spring loaded hinges on mine.

where did you find those at? did you add them, or did you replace the old ones?

The easiest fix is like they do in some new boats.Get a spring about 6 inches long and mount it in a way that being straight holds the glovebox open and to close it just fold the spring inn half and it lets it close......Hope that made sense.

I am sure you could use a R/C car servo and a switch to raise and lower it automatically? It might require a little circuitry.
