So I just got a pair of rev10's with the swivel/quick disconnect clamps. As I was leaving the stereo place I was pretty much told to not use the quick disconnect as it will break. So I am kinda thinking WTH. The point of me paying more for the quick disconnect was so I could take these things down when I travel(which is alot of 6+ hour trips), and on certain overnight locations.

So whats the story here? Are these things going to break on me if used as I originally intended? Or were they designed only to be removed once a year when the boat is in storage.

The mounts work perfect. I have a set of rev10s on our pit box for our race team. We take them off and on twice a week and have been doing so for 10 months. Not one problem with the audio or the LED rings. Great product and Tim does his homework befor he release a product.

I had a pair for a year. We prob took them on and off 30ish times. Never one problem. I sold them to my buddy who has taken them on and off several time, again no problems. I wouldn't worry about it.
