Read through the thread on pet peeves and have experienced almost all of them. Besides the slingshot, I was wondering if anyone had ever gotten some good revenge on those people. And I'm not just talking about tubers b/c I know wakeboarders don't own the lake, but the real morons...I've had people try and jump my wake with their boat while I'm towing someone... doing stuff that's actually dangerous. just curious.

We camp alot, and usually the people bugging us are camping around us. fairly easy to pick em out off the water. Nothing to mean, but we are always up late doin whatever, and we don't bother being quite so the people that ruined our water can get some rest!!

back in the day when jet boats and rooster tails were cool we used to drive around and soon as a jetskier would get behind the boat we would lift up the jetavator(dont think thats the right way to spell the word) and the rooster tail would blow the jetskier right off the jetski

Jason...those things HURT! I was kneeboarding 15 yrs ago or so, and the dude thought it would be funny to put the rooster tail up. It felt like someone shot water buckshot at me. I was trying to look cool, so I kept holding on...but it punished me :-)

This was a day when things were kind of crazy on the lake. A guy in a 15' johnboat litterally cut directly in front of me on a corner while I had a rider. He was probably 20 yrds. in front of me. I hollored at him that I would be back to sink him later, JK. Anyway, I did not have to come back. He got caught up in my double up because of the corner and he and his other passenger had to swim the boat to shore half full of water.

I've only done this to a select few and I know it's a very a$$ho|ish (<--- Yeah that's a word) thing to do but I only did it because these people definitely deserved it but . . . . I have been known to remove a valve stem or two from certain a$$ho|e's tow vehicles hee hee :-)

Haha I've swamped my share of fishermen as they go by at 35+. We almost sank a guy that my buddy crashed in front of he said it was illegal to ride in the river but it was ok to be on plane. So we pulled my buddy in and did a nice 12mph pass. Its sad when everyone can't just get along. Idk you know the saying the good die young but pricks last forever

Whats the valve stem, and what does removing it do?
Old     (sacmule)      Join Date: May 2007       02-12-2008, 12:45 AM Reply
The valve stem is the metal spring pin in the air-stem of the wheel where you would inflate the tire, or in Montgomery's case deflate. Cruel punishment...Ouch! Remind me not to get on your bad side Montgomery.

oh ok, i got one for ya then.

you take the valve stem cap off, then jam a very small sharp rock in the top of the cap, then screw the cap back on.

they come back and think they have a flat. they'll pump the tyre full of air, screw the cap back on, then slowly but surely it will deflate again.

ha!

I'm liking both the valve stem ideas! We were running a real close line to the dam on my lake and this other guy decided he was going to squeeze himself between our boat and the dam, so close that his rider couldn't cut out when we passed each other b/c they'd have cut right into our boat. So we're done and we see 2 or 3 of them standing on the platform, so we rolled by at 10mph and watched as the roller rocked them and a couple of them fell off into the water.

Dave, I have heard of that too. Not sure if it was off a movie but someone said to take off the valve cap put some superglue in the cap and drop in a BB. It will just slowly take the air out. NICE.

We usually get out early in the am and take a nice line on our lake by 10 am there will be 5 boats going every direction and jacking up the water. So when we are done I get the boat to 11mph and go right down the middle.

I know it sounds like a really a$$ho|e thing to do but the people I did it to really really deserved it :-) and it always makes me feel better :-)

I had a fellow wakeboarder that I didn't know what so ever think it would be funny to spray my whole boat with a wall of water as he passed. He later found out that the right side of his double axle trailer had no air in it when he pulled his boat out of the water. I am all good for having fun but I didn't even know this guy and didn't really appreciate it.

I really hate people that feel the need to be a complete ASS to everyone around them

far fetched.. but so true... we were out riding one day.. wen one of our "friends" kept jumpin our wake with a rider behind us... he wouldnt stop until the rider yelled a couple of words... we dissapear around the bend to keep riding.. after comming back around the bend... we see the jet skiier sitting in the water... not moving.. so wen the rider signals for a whip.. o yea.. we know... we whipped our rider straight towards the guy on the jet ski... upon impact... our rider tackles our "friend" on the jet ski and gives the guy a couple nice.......... punches...... in the face.. and tells him to think twice before jumpin behind him again... kinda rough... but its wat he wanted to do.

The valve stem air things strikes me as bit mousy and potentially dangerous. Say the dude doesn't notice the lack of air and jacks his trailer at 70MPH on the way home causing a wreck with injuries or worse a fatality of someone randomly driving next to them. Would that still make you feel better???

Punching some dude in the face with your wakeboard still on is also going to be a great image for the rest of us wakeboarders. Thanks for keeping the stoke.

Yeah I have seem my share of jerks on the water and sure have been tempted to retaliate, but most of the time it is only going to make situations worse not better. Next time it might be your trailer or your boat marked or your #ss whipped.

or next time... learning from the situations that we are in and hate... WE arent the guys doin it.. so i dont see that happening.. but the valve stem thing is kinda $h|tty..

Not that it makes it any better but the "Select" few people I did that too were PWCers

If someone is being really dangerous just whip out the phone and call the police, I've done it before on a guy in a 28-30 foot Chaparral hauling @$$ all around the bayou we ride in, cutting off people pulling riders and so on.

He almost sunk a small boat with a bunch of kids pulling a rider.

The Sheriffs Dept was there within 5 minutes and pulled his @$$ over.

this is some pretty harsh things I am reading. Nice work E-thugs. Dont talk them down, just mess with their tow rig. It may make you feel better, but people dont mess with my stuff, I wont mess woth someone else's. That is just crossing the line.

Removing valve stems or messing with someones tires seems pretty stupid to me. How do you know what the outcome will be?
