A friend of mine is removing the hard tanks out of his '04 X2 and installing fat sacs on each side.
Being that the waterbed craze 'sprung a leak' back in the 80's and 90's, there aren't many shops that carry these connectors anymore.
Does anybody know where he can find some of the waterbed fittings, typically blue, to help plumb in the job?
Are there any alternatives that work just as good or possibly better?
Thanks in advance.

I did the same with my 02 xstar. I used pvc slip fittings and pipe clamps. 2 years, no problems.

I replaced the hard tanks in my 04 X30 with fatsac as well. I did the same thing (invertigo1) did, and haven't had any problems.

With the hard tanks you don't have to worry about leaks. How much weight are you gaining with the fatsacs? Wouldn't it be easier to just add lead?

I found this website that sells them. Click on parts and you will find them. $2.99 each. Hope it helps.

i would rather not have lead in the boat at all times. between trailering and cruising the lake to get to the riding spot, thats a lot of weight.

i have sacs in there right now, but dont really like the way i have them connected to the sacs.

with sacs, there is so much more storage area when they are not full. also, with sacs, you can put 600's back there instead of the 250 tanks. so thats a difference of 700 lbs in the back.

In reply to Ren, If done right you get no leaks and can utilize the existing pump and overflow.

to agree with Matt- alot of weight to haul, plus lead sinks-water does not!
