DNA is a lighter, more expensive core. Yes, some people consider the DNA better, as it is more expensive. Personally, I have ridden both. Yes, you can tell a difference, but either is really nice.
What did you find to be the difference?? I just traded my Temet 138.1 Biolite for the Temet 142.8 DNA because I liked the other board but needed a larger one (200+lbs)
DNA is balsa... breaks easier but is more springy while new. The pro's all rode biolite because they just abused the boards more. Most would go with a biolite for durability and price issues. Not to bum you out though, I have been riding a Liquid Force ultracore (balsa core) for a few years and love the board. I also slide it at OWC, although it is all torn up I still love the board and it is extreamly light.
