What do you recommend ridding in when the water gets too cool for just boardshorts? I'm planning on doing more fall riding this year. Thought about getting a shorty wet suit. Water temps. somewhere between 60-70 deg. nothing very cold.

Thanks

The transition is like this. Boardshorts, shorty, drysuit. Heater shirts can be used but I like to pad my nuts if I'm going to wear neoprene. Plus by Fall you should be riding as good as you have been all year and you should be learning new tricks.

if you get a spring suit, get a long sleeve. short sleeves look funky.

I just got a full wet suit, it wasn't that much more than a wetsuit but the difference it makes!

I run the full suit in March, switch to the shorty Spring suit Easter weekend, then break it back out in Sept....just put the full back on last weekend. I don't want to ride bad enough over the winter to get a dry.....I'll go snowboarding with Kylie!
