No single cd slot but a multi disc changer can be added. I am not sure what the capacity of the changer is.

Most people don't want them when they order the upgraded stereo today. I am with you, I still like to go old school and throw in a cd every now and then. Yes you have to buy the changer sepeate. I hope they did not screw you and forget the cassette player and 8 track as well

Cody. CDs are done. go MP3, fit way more on a pocket drive, or external HD.

that sucks, and is really stupid, even though CDs are a dying breed the headunit is there anyway... just another way to nickel and dime you....

It is not a nickel and dime thing! It is called innovation! The new high tech black box headunit Malibu is using is not the same as a traditional headunit. There is no place for a single cd. A multi-disc changer is an option! Just like Sirius. But, the box does support mp3, flash, ipod and has an internal 1GB storage. It is also integrated into the factory dash controls. Why should Malibu provide the changer as a standard feature when most people don't want it. Also, they don't include the Sirius box as a standard featuer. The nice thing is, these are option and you can order your system just the way you want it. Just like everything else on the boat! http://marineradiodirect.com/catalog/mbb319-black-stereo-chrome-ipod-capable-p-1136.html

In my last post there is a link. You can order the same CD player there as Malibu is selling. Except it is cheaper (I think $159)! Very easy to install.

i dont remember the last time i was in a boat and had cds on there. ipod/mp3 devices are so much easier no matter how you look at it. plus everytime you take a cd in and out of the booklet and in and out of the deck it gets another scratch on it. on top of that you will never have the music skip when going through double ups or other rollers.
