So we went through the whole boat inspection thingy to get into Anderson and we passed.. and on the way out they "band" your boat from the trailer to the eye on the bow.. if the band is broken, you have to go through the inspection again and pay your 7.00 again to get in.. if the band is still there, then you get to bypass the inspection. So on our way out we were getting our band I asked, since we are getting a new trailer for our boat how that works so I dont have to repay and get reinspected and he said.. sure not a problem, just contact the rangers desk this week and they will get your Hull number or contact Santa Clara County parks and rec and they will reissue the band..

Sure enough I call today and they said sorry, we are not doing that and you will have to repay and get reinspected..

I would also say it would be close to impossible to use your boat 2 days in a row as there is prolly no way to get ALL of the water completely out of your boat

I'll wear my coolest Tank Top, it shows my ripped body ever so perfectly. Do they provide the oil & fake tan?

Its a mussel inspection, not a muscle inspection. They don't care how buff you are...

Sorry I had to, it just made a hilarious mental picture. Only an hour left at work!

The whole mussel thing sucks, it's crazy how they did nothing about it and now its like the end of the world. Do they really think it can be contained? So many people trying to get around it because of the slight inconvenience it seems like just a matter of time.

It's possible. But unfortunately, you have to be one of "those guys on the launch ramp" after you pull the boat out. Just pull the plug and wait a little bit and you should be able to get the water out of the boat. Lift up all your cushions, drain the cooler, etc. It's been warm enough to dry out a boat overnight. While you're on the ramp, hit the ballast switches too.
