I just recently bought a 1999 Mastercraft Sportstar 19 and was just wanting some ideas how much weight to put in it to make a nice beginner wake. It has a little bit of a wake now but I am looking for a little more. Any suggestions?

if Im thinking of the right boat i would throw a
~500 lb sac under the bow
and add like 1000lbs to the back, you should be in business

I got 180 lbs under the bow, 210 lbs in front of the gas tank, and two 750 lbs flyhigh sacs beside the motor box. Probably alot more than a beginner wake but if you use the 40/60 (front/back) weight ratio it will put out a good wake. I hardly ever fill the sacs anymore though.

Along the motorbox has worked well for us... but I agree with Craig, 2x750# is probably more than you're looking for. His ratios seem right on - it's a great little boat when weighted correctly. If you don't want to mess with the rear seat just stick with the side sacks filled to your preference.
