Josh - Keep using that rope it will help learn to lean. When you get too far back don't pull on the rope, but hold it out in front of you and try to keep slack in it. This will get you leaning forward and learning to get yourself back into the sweet spot.

Surf on, surfer....

That's really good advice. So often people get the "yo-yo" thing happening. This is where they are surfing with the rope then go back to far in the wake so they tug on the rope. This causes them to come forward too fast so they slam on the breaks and end up at the back of the wake, causing them to tug on the rope.

When riding with the rope do every thing you can to not use it. Use it only as a last resort.
