Hey guys. I live on a lake in NH and my friends and I have been thinking about getting a slider. WE were looking at the Rave floatable sliders but then Dave Briscoe came to our lake to give lessons and we asked him and he said that they didn't work very well. What do you guys think? If not the Rave sliners, What are my other options. It is a deep lake so you can't really build a rail and stick it in the ground. Thanjks guys

At my local boardshop the guy was telling me how he built a slider out of an old canoe, pvc piping, and some oil drums and someohow this contraption was tied to shore and worked well I guess.

Rave sliders have a lot of bounce, no matter how well you anchor it. Best sliders are built solid and staked into the ground........

i have a rave slider and it works great, when you hit it it stays solid and when you crash it gives to you.....ive crashed it every way you can and gotten some bruises cuts and a split lip, but i can only imagine how those crashes would have been on a fixed slider, my only complaint is the rave is a little short, so i would definately reccommend one of the longer ones

We have a 30'Rave slider and we are happy with it. I put some video of it in action on our family web site. If you are patient and have a fast internet connection you can watch this and get an idea of what the Rave is like:

The boat in use here is my "Micro Air Achilles" :-)

Thanks for the Video. The rave looks like a good choice. Thanks everyone.
