Oh God, here come all the Haters about how unsafe this is. Before you guys start flaming, look at the background in that pic. What ELSE were they going to do on a day where 3 boats were in the same slough as them, lol. Gotta come up with something to pass the time!!! Nice pic! Good bent knee position, handle low, hard to confirm and actual drink was taken with the current elbow-to-hand orientation!!

We call that the "Lux", short for deluxe. As in you feel deluxe awesome when you finish a beer while riding. Store a spare in your vest! Funny, we use C- too. mmmmmm

J-Rod ~~ Holy crap we have huge lake here and that many people makes it to busy to ride. How the heck do you do it? I'm thinking you guys are used to people passing you while wakeboarding really close!

Hey Josh. That is a directional slough so the wakes are all going the same direction. We don't get passed very often unless it's by a fisherman or a rec boater.

Never mind the beer, but what a different world. When you're in a convoy like that, do all the boats have to go the same speed? When you drop a rider, and I guess go over to the shoulder, how do merge back into traffic? And the thought of a fisherman zooming by seems like a good thing to outlaw.

when your rider falls, you stop(& NOT POWER TURN)_ boats behind you go around you & rider - then when youre ready to pull rider up - make sure no one is coming up(so you dont screw up their riders water) & make sure boat infront of you is a good ways away - so your rider gets nice water as well. Then pull em up. When we all follow the rules out there - even with that many boats - everyone gets good water. BUT youll always get the power turners, and even people pulling the opposite direction (the worst!!), or someone pulls their rider up when your already comin close instead of waiting for you to pass - then you gotta just stop and wait for a few minutes, then pull your rider up again.

NICE! I love beer sets. Anyone ever try a tantrum or backroll while taking a drink upside down? Props on the HS BS 180 with a beer landing wrapped...baller! Well now people can see WHY etiquette is SOOOO important to those who ride the delta and why some of us are so fanatical about it. As a recap to some of the more important rules that really carry a lot of weight in the delta. #1. Driver raising hand to acknowledge that he sees the downed rider. The area's are tight so this is really important to the sanity of everyone riding. #2. Powerturning is hated because it will commonly give the passing boat nowhere to go AND pull your rope widthwise across the slough. Common times you may end up getting passed by a boat upon your turning around to pick up your rider. A nice wide powerturn makes things really tough for everyone. #3 Dont pull out in front of an already towing boat as this is poor judgement and plain rude since everyone is trying to share the water. Especially if they (the boat catching you from behind) are towing faster than you. Seriously what's wrong with waiting another 30-60 seconds for better conditions and more space? Getting passed by another wakeboat usually isnt too bad if everyone is paying attention and following general etiquette. The boats I am concerned about are usually either the Bass fisherman going 50-75mph to "get their fish on" or the occasional offshore racer going even faster. There is nothing quite like getting buzzed by an offshore racer less than 50 feet away.

I am from the South, I prefer Bud Light! I have the Beaver Regatta Ski Show ( www.wakeboardpittsburgh.com/beaver-county-river-regatta) coming up in two weeks... Last year I hit a Jet Ski mid-jump, this year I think I will play it safe and go back to the Beer to Backroll.

jonathan, yeah, it was supposed to be a stunt, but he got scared and turned into where I was landing. The funny part is that earlier this week the jet skier emailed me and said he wanted to try it again. I don't think so... Jarrod, the rider in the picture looks so relaxed. Its awesome.
