Hey guys,

I was just wondering what everyone uses to stop the prop/shaft from spinning while changing out a prop at the lake on the trailer?

I use a 2x4x~3feet to stop the spin on the trailer.

Just make sure it's marine grade that your using or your prop will turn purple.
Actually I've even used split logs. (of course they were cedar so my prop didn't change color)

Man up and use your hand. Lol. Just don't forget the leather glove.

i use a 1x6, i keep it in the bag with the spare prop so that i have it at home in the garage, or at the lake.

how would one change the prop in the water? i guess one would need dive gear?

Ours comes easy with just holding the prop by hand too. Can change our prop at our dock pretty easy in the water, water level is just right to kneel under the boat and it just takes a few breaths and a little time( only 5-10 mins. ). we run the nyloc nut with no cotter pin thou, The cotter pin I bet would be a pain! Just make sure you have a spare of everything in case you drop something. Its really quit easy, I wouldn't want to try it in the middle of the lake thou.
