Super glue might work.

Anyone tried the super-glue fix with success?

I've done the super glue trick and it works great.

Andy, is that the rear seat cushion? I just had the same issue and after several attempts at repair, ended up having the cushion recovered. The upholstery guy said tears like this are hard to fix, especially in areas that get constant wear. In our boat, that was the cushion most people would step on as they stepped down from the engine cover.

Dave,

Yes, it's the rear cushion just in front of the engine cover, where everyone steps on to get to the swim step and to up the rope up on the tower. I'm going to try the super-glue thing and see how it goes. I'll be out all weekend at Havasu so I'll post next week to tell how it worked out.

Thanks.

If that doesn't work, you might want to think about floor carpeting part of it and then the other part upholstery. The carpet is for stepping purposes.

Super glue with take care of that split for a while. The other alternative is to reupholster, which means the entire boat.
