Has anyone tried wakesurfing behind a Sanger V210?
If so how much weight are you using?

I surf behind a Sanger V210 all the time. We added more weight to our set up this year. We have Fly High Natique wedge sacks in the rear lockers and a center ballast bag that fill with the automatic ballast system. We fill one rear bag depending on which ever side we are surfing on. I have 3 85lb launch pads and 1 150lb launch pad. The 150lb bag usually sits in the bow with the 85lbs ones on the seats on the side you surf on. With all of this ballast we were able to increase our speed from 10 to 11mph. We had 5 people in the boat and the wave was awesome.

Ken,
It's easy to get hooked on surfing. It is so much fun! Here are some pictures of me surfing behind my V210. We have spent a lot of time playing with the ballast. The wave I am riding now is much bigger than the one I started with when the boat was new.

NICE!!!
that wake looks sweet
i especially like how you aren't so close to the boat. Looks like you have a few feet of play.
So how much weight is in the rear storage compartment?

The rear storage has a Fly High Natique wedge sack that we plumed in. Each sack holds 230lbs. and we only fill the side we are surfing on. We choose these sacks because they fit in the storage compartment without pushing too hard on the sides. We did reinforce the sides by the engine compartment with aluminum angle just to make sure. Here is the link to wakeside where I bought them.
I'm sure it's not the longest surf wake but I have room to play in. I am working on a 360 now.

Thanks Sue for all the info
i have just one more question, what size board do you guys ride on that wake? What do you find works the best?

Ken,
I ride a Phase Five Prop. It is 4'6''. I started on a Landlock which is 5'6". It is easier to ride a longer board but once you learn and want to try tricks you will want a shorter one. A lot of the board size has to do with your height and weight. I don't have any trouble staying in my V210 wake on the Prop. It is really light and feels loose so I can play around on it. You might see if you could demo some boards from your local shop to find out what you like. I bought my Prop from the WakeWorld classifieds and got a really good price. Phase Five makes an Oggle model for bigger guys and the Icon is for small riders.
Hope this helps!
Sue

I forgot. We take a lot of different people surfing. I let everyone ride the Prop. We have had small riders up to maybe 190lbs. riders on it. Once they get the hang of wakesurfing they can all stay in the wave on the Prop.

Your welcome Ken. Post some pictures when you get to surf behind your V210 and let me know what you think of the wave.
