I'm getting ready to demo a couple new boards and wanted to get some thoughts on the 2006 Shane.

My buddy loves his. He went from a balance to the shane and it is just as fast but with more pop.

Watch out for the cupped side fins though.......he severed his tendon and had to get surgery after grabbing the tail/tindy. Out for 2 months!

Thanks for the info. Fins can definitely bite you. I've ridden a Parks for a couple years now and have had a couple of bad gashes from its razor sharp aluminum fins.

I rode the Absolute before I rode the Parks. Good board, but the Parks fit my style a little better at the time. I am now looking for a faster board with a softer landing. I do plan to demo the Transcend Platinum, but the Shane is of a similar design. I would like to hear the Pro's and Con's about this board from riders who have ridden one.

Are these plastic fins or metal fins? I had to take a file to my Parks for the same reason.

Crob if you are going to demo a Trascend, then demo the 07 the 06 is not a fast board, more of a wake to wake board, but the 07 is a totally different ride.
