tower speaker question

I have a question about tower speakers. When your wakeboarding, do you ever even hear the music? Like when your playing basketball or baseball, you block out the sound of people yelling and screaming. Is wakeboarding like that or can you hear the music?

Depends on the speakers. Riding behind my buddies MC with 6" cans you hear it before the boat takes off but not really when actually riding. Behind some of the bigger stronger speakers you can hear it. Car speakers are not really designed to project sound 75' in open air.

There's a difference between hearing and listening. Even with the NVS I have friends who hear the music but aren't really listening when they ride. Just like you said, some people just "zone" out while riding. Me....I like to lsiten.

Two 6-1/2" coax and your not likely to hear them clear unless your boat is very quite. Go to 4 Coax on the tower with a good amp and you can hear them decent. Go to NVS1 and it will be LOUD back there :-)
