FWIW, in a different thread Travis Moye said Murray's 2010 board does NOT have flex. I think it was in the Heber fest thread.

I think the term "flex" is pretty ambiguous. The Lyman was supposed to have "flex" in the tip and tail and that sucker seemed pretty rigid I thought. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if it did, it seems to be getting pretty commonplace, LF had Melissa's and Ennen's like that, so it must be good for somethin! haha (Message edited by hawkeye7708 on August 03, 2009)

I talked with Murray a couple of weeks ago about his new decks. Yes decks. They are going to be doing it in 2 sizes boat available in the DINE core and a regular less expensive version. Biggest change that Murray noted was that the board would be a 3 stage rocker and not a continuous as it has been for quite some time. He was pretty stoked about it. Just a couple of weeks and we will have pictures of everything! John@waterskis.com www.waterskis.com

Just got an email from my Hyperlite rep - "...a new wake board mounting system..." sounds like a 6" pattern to me. John@waterskis.com

Is it me, or does Hyperlite always seem to be Way behind on updating their website with the new year's gear. If it was me, I would have had the new site ready to go and updated at the same time as the Expo or something..... Anyone have some more pictures and literature on the 2010 gear...

Tampa, they did a DINE and BioLite core on the Marek this year making the shape more cost accessible for riders.

The marek sucks....Everyone wants one and owns one because its rustys model. Granted the graphics are sick, and it has its pros and cons but overall the board is terrible.

The marek doesn't suck lee. Its just not for you. I love when people like you make statements like that. Just goes to show how ignorant you are. I could care less whose pro model a board is or what company makes it. All that matters is whether I like the way it rides or not. Granted there are people who buy a board just for the graphics or to support their favorite rider, but that doesn't mean you need to discredit a product because you don't like it. Doing that only hurts our industry. Open your eyes and look outside your little bubble every now and then

The HL line-up looks really good! The Marek has a dine version and a biolite core version. The dine board looks like it has sliding inserts and the board looks awesome! Jason is right, the Marek board is the best I've ever ridden. Fast, smooth, tons of pop, light...just awesome. Heard the new one is a touch better. Murray went to a 4 fin board this year. other than that lots of good looking stuff. Didn't look to hard.

the last lyman interview on stoke meter was done at murrays house. murray popped in from time to time and threw in a few comments and randomness. he answered some quick questions about his new board and also about "flex boards" i remember him saying his board was 3 stage and that he preferred a really stiff board and preferred flex only for rails and messing around on the waters' surface. (i'm likely paraphrasing here) so i am leaning to say his pro board does not have flex either. (Message edited by wakerider111 on August 24, 2009)

That Marek board won my buddy a trip to go down and ride with Rusty. So I'm already biased... however everybody who's ridden it in our crew has loved it. Different strokes for different folks.

Whats with the track system? I remember when CWB had a track and it sucked hard. Your boots would travel back and forth voluntarily no matter how tight your boots were mounted. On hard edging and hard landings your boots would end up somewheres not where you intended for them to be. Hope Hyperlite has a solution for such tendencies
