FWIW Do you plan on keeping this boat a long time?
If so Get a new one! I've put two rebuilt velvet drives in my boat in one summer. Then got a new one. No problems since.

I plan on keeping it for a while, I think the reason my last one burnt up was insufficent prop with so much weight. A new one is almost double a rebuilt and I am a college student so you know how that goes.

If I remember right the Borg Warner trans rotation is changed by unbolting the front cover and rotating it 180 degrees. Believe there are arrows to line up for CW or CCW rotation. No promises but check it out.
