I went yesterday, and I'm going again tomorrow. I'm thinking of picking up a wetsuit or something, because that 61 degree water(Sac River) is almost unbearable.

Sunday will probably be the last ride of the year for me. Air temp is going to be in the 50's. Sleeping bags in the boat are the key to a good time.

Went yesterday and the water temp showed on the boat as 67 (air temp was nice...like 80 I think). After that initial shock it was ok. It's suppose to rain and get colder all this week so not sure how much longer I'll be able to take it. Sucks!! I'm not ready for the season to be over.
Old    jplorenz            09-25-2003, 7:06 AM Reply
we will be out this weekend here in Oregon. high 80's air temp (about 10 above normal) water still in the high 60's.

I usually stop watching the weather around this time & just ride. Last weekend we rode in some cold a$$ rain. Who knows what this weekend will bring in Wisconsin??

And don't forget Winter Water Land....

Went last night, going tonight. Tim, go buy a non-stretch rope! I'd rather ride behind a 20 year old 18' tri hull with non stretch rope than a loaded SAN with a ski line. They make a HUGE difference when it comes to loading the line.

Tim: we hit Jordanelle Res., near Park City, Utah, last night and it was cold! Water temp. around 60, air temp. low 70s. We'll be lucky to get one or two more days in before season's end. Its actually quite depressing!

These kind of posts make me jealous. The water and air temp here are about 60. So still going strong. I figure about two more weeks until i either get a drysuit or quit, and i am broke.

Still going... in fact we are filming tomorrow. Here in Portland, Oregon it's around mid 60's to 70's for air temp and low 60's for water temp. Still riding weather as far as I am concerned.

Rode yesterday in KY, water 73, air 72. I'm planning to go out Sunday, but the air is only going to be 63. Hopefully the water will still be in the 70's. If that damn Canadian air would quit pushing south, I might have another month left.

Damn we sport spring suits to the middle of November and then swith to Full suits. I've never used a drysuit and I ride year round. Granted I've also froze my arse off, so there you go... Nacimiento year round is pretty good and only a few days when it just too cold. Now I would go if I could get a freakin ride! Last weekend I was out at 7 am and it was cold, but the water was warmer than the air and it felt quite nice, very refreshing

WakeNup... How late in the year do you ride?
I'm hoping to be able to go most of November.

I plan on riding until ski season starts up here in New England. Plus I pick up the new boat on the 11th, can't wait!

I managed to transition from skiing to wakeboarding the same weekend in the Spring, so I'm hoping to complete the cycle this Fall.
Old    hockeyruss            09-30-2003, 10:35 AM Reply
We ride here until the end of November. Water temp then is about 60-62 degrees. I know that doesn't sound that cold to you northerners ( i used to be one) but your blood thins out when you live in a hot climate.
Old    todd_fish            09-30-2003, 12:53 PM Reply
My Blood is already thinning and I've only been down here for 4 years.

I woke up the other morning and thought that 50 degrees was chilly... what is happening.

I think a snowboard/ wakeboard weekend would be awesome. Hit the slopes saturday and the lake sunday. Anyone up for it.... that is in South Carolina?

Still riding here in Seattle. Went out yesterday afternoon. Believe it or not, 72 air temp and 68 water temp. Still trunkin' it, but will go from shorty to drysuit in less than 30 days once the weather finally changes.

SoCal weather is perfect right now, clear warm days and cool nights. Water at the local lake is 70 and out at the Colorado River it's still 80 with 100 degree days. We'll be able to trunk it for about another month then it's time for a shorty, and then fullsuits in December, just in time for snowboarding season to kick off.
